Solar, Wind, & EV

SOLAR, WIND & EV ACADEMY

Our mission is to connect industry experts with students to shape their thinking about renewable energy and provide a foundation for a career in the growing fields of Solar, Wind & EV.

This 12 week program is geared toward high school students who have an interest in the growing industry of Solar, Wind, & EV.

Relevant, Real World Learning

PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN ISU, McLEAN COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICTS, BACC, MCLEAN COUNTY BUSINESSES, and BNSTEM

  • Classes are held at ISU and are open to high school students in McLean County (priority given to Jr/Sr High School age students).
  • Classes are taught by industry experts from local companies including Straight Up Solar, Rivian, Legacy Solar, RWE, CeMaST, and more.
  • Classes are held Saturday mornings 9am-12pm beginning January 21st, 2023 and ending April 29th, 2023.  Classes will be held in the Renewable Energy Lab at ISU and on location.
  • Cost is $100 (scholarships are available)
