STEM at Ephipany School

In our Junior High, students are provided a full trimester of daily STEM classes per year. This year, our students have focused on projects related to structural engineering, architecture, computer coding, alternative energy sources, and buoyancy, to name a few.  In their study of buoyancy, for example, our students researched maritime disasters in order to analyze engineering flaws. Following this study, students were given basic materials and were asked to construct vessels which could stay buoyant with the most weight. Students enjoyed the challenge and impressed both their teachers and their classmates with their ingenuity.
